About Our Services
At Creekside Assembly, our services are centered around heartfelt worship, meaningful prayer, and the clear teaching of God’s Word. We gather as a community of caring, friendly, and prayerful people committed to growing in faith together. Each service is an opportunity to worship God through music, Scripture, and prayer while allowing space for the Holy Spirit to work in our lives.
At the close of every service, the altar is open for anyone who desires prayer, anointing for healing (as encouraged in James 5:14), or simply a moment of personal reflection. We believe the Bible is God’s guide for every aspect of life, and we rely on the Holy Spirit for the strength and wisdom to live it out.
Our approach is grounded in love and truth—we share what we believe God’s Word teaches with kindness and respect. Whether you’re new to faith or have been walking with God for years, you’ll find a welcoming atmosphere and people ready to pray, support, and walk alongside you.
Our Vision
At Creekside Assembly of God, we envision a community where every believer is empowered to discover and actively use their spiritual gifts. By doing so, we aim to build up and encourage one another while reaching out to those who have yet to know Christ.
We are dedicated to creating an environment where worship is heartfelt, prayer is fervent, and the preaching of God's Word is both anointed and transformative. Fellowship is a cornerstone of our community, as we support and minister to each other. Through this nurturing atmosphere, we prepare believers to share the message of salvation both locally and globally.

Welcome! We’re so glad you found your way here. Whether you’re visiting our website for the very first time, searching for a church home, returning to faith, or simply curious about who we are, please know this: you are welcome at Creekside Assembly of God.
My name is Daniel Houck, and it is an honor to serve as Interim Pastor during this season in the life of our church. My wife, Patti, and I serve together as a ministry team, and our shared desire is simple - to love Jesus, love people, and help others discover the abundant life Jesus promises.
I have been privileged to serve in pastoral ministry for more than 35 years, working with churches and individuals across Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. Throughout those years, my heart has been drawn especially to people who are hurting, searching, or walking through seasons of transition. Along the way, I have also served in mental health and counseling settings, working with individuals and families in hospitals, group homes, and counseling centers. These experiences have shaped a deep compassion for people at every stage of life and faith.
Patti and I truly believe that faith is a journey - and no two journeys look exactly alike. Some arrive full of hope, others with questions, doubts, or even wounds from the past. Wherever you may be today, our prayer is that Creekside will be a place where you feel safe, seen, and loved, and where you can grow at your own pace in your relationship with Jesus.
We live in the Syracuse area and are blessed with a growing family, including children and grandchildren who keep our lives full and joyful. Family, connection, and authentic relationships matter deeply to us—and we value those same things within the church community.
